About SettleWise

SettleWise is a free educational resource that helps people understand how car accident settlements are estimated.

After a crash, one of the first questions people ask is "what is my claim worth?" The answer is rarely obvious. Insurance settlements are built from a mix of documented costs, harder-to-measure factors like pain and suffering, and rules about fault that differ from state to state. We built this site to make that process easier to understand.

What we do

Our car accident settlement calculator applies the same building blocks that insurers and attorneys commonly use — economic damages, a pain-and-suffering multiplier, and an adjustment for comparative fault — to produce an easy-to-read estimated range. Alongside the tool we publish plain-English guides explaining each part of the calculation.
